June 1995
Dear
Saints,
Summer
is upon us and another class of students has graduated from college.
A graduating student from Oklahoma University who attends a supporting church in the Oklahoma City area gave me the 1995
Commencement issue of the student newspaper commemorating the past four years
of news on their campus. This issue was
available to every graduating student along with the entire faculty, staff
and administration as well as each and every parent and guest of the attending
graduates.
Guess who did not just have one picture, but the two
largest pictures in the whole paper?
You got it, yours truly! What
really made my day was when I noticed that I had a larger picture and more
print space than the one and only infamous Anita Hill of Clarence Thomas fame.
Just think of how many people were witnessed to that
day and will be in the future by this one keepsake paper alone. Praise God!!
The lawsuit against Virginia Tech is now in the
Federal Courts of Appeal in Richmond, Virginia. You may not believe this but the same Judge who ruled in my favor
on every single issue even to the point of ordering Virginia Tech to allow me
to preach for a week last March mysteriously recanted, flip-flopped, did a 180
degree turn around and ruled in the University’s favor. It will be very interesting come judgment
day to find out just how much it took to turn him around.
I continually thank the Lord for giving me a free
$210 an hour A.C.L.U. First Amendment attorney who has won many a free speech case
whether at the trial level or on appeals, and he is determined to go all the
way to the Supreme Court if necessary.
I am hoping and praying that come September when
school-reopens we will be in a position to upgrade our trailer to a two bedroom
to accommodate our family of four.
We
thank you for your love and prayers.
Brother
