Dear
Saints,
The
school year is coming to a close. As I
look back I stand amazed at how God has helped us this year.
We were particularly encouraged when we met a current
Free Gospel Bible Institute student at a camp meeting in March. This student made it a point to take me aside
and tell me her testimony regarding how I impacted her life one day while I was
preaching at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
Her testimony was a great encouragement to my soul because that day was
one of those days when nothing out of the ordinary seemed to have
happened. I asked her if she would be
so kind as to reduce it to writing, she did, so I am enclosing the letter that
she sent.
I am glad that God's word never returns void but
always accomplishes its intended purpose and that you will reap if you faint
not. I admit that preaching on college
campuses is mainly a plowing, planting and watering ministry. It is very good to see that I am sowing good
seed that the Holy Ghost can use to save sinners.
Last month at Clemson University, a campus where I
generally have no administrative opposition, the Director of the Student Union
tried to shut me down by finding several students to falsely accuse me. I went over his head and gave the University
Attorney a copy of my Federal Court of Appeals decision against Virginia Tech
along with a signed affidavit stating that I did not violate any university
policies. The university attorney said,
"How can we resolve this matter?"
I said, "Just let me continue preaching." He made a few phone calls and said, "Go
preach." It was that easy. Thank you Jesus!!!
We thank you for your love and prayers,
Brother Jim - Sister Bonnie - Aaron - Gabrielle
