October 2003
Dear Saints,
Since
our last newsletter we have been engaged in all types of ministry ranging from
preaching at the
Tulsa
,
Ok. Homo Parade, to speaking at youth and adult camps, churches and campi, to
obtaining surveying plates in County Recorder’s offices, to meeting with and
talking to Attorney’s whether it be in their office or over the telephone, to
being the key note speaker at a campus/street preacher’s conference, to
attending and giving deposition testimony against Sherlock in the State Attorney
General’s Office in Pittsburgh, Pa. In
addition to the foregoing, I have already preached on campuses in 10 different
states since classes started in August.
One
of my greatest blessings came from Oklahoma State Representative Todd Hiett who
attends Pastor David Taylor’s church in Kellyville, Ok.
Representative Hiett was pleasantly surprised when he found out that I
was to preach in the same church that he attended.
During the church service, he testified to fond memories of having
witnessed my preaching when he attended
Oklahoma
State
University
.
Representative Hiett has given his consent to submit a written testimony
so that I can include it in my next newsletter.
This
was my second consecutive year to preach at the
Tulsa
,
Ok. Homo Parade. This year I joined
Cameron Hudson, James Meyers, Adam Bishop, Ira Miller, Gary and Laura Bowman,
Greg Davis and about twenty men from the
Broken
Arrow
Baptist
Church
.
We stood on the City sidewalks about three blocks away from the starting
point of the Parade. As the
sodomites passed by, we preached by way of mouth and by the holding of signs.
After the sodomites passed by we entered our vehicles and hurriedly drove
to the end of the Parade route in order to line the sidewalks and hit them again
as they passed by. The Parade
culminated into
Boulder
Park
where we preached to about 1000 sodomites for several hours.
Last
year, the Dean of Students at
Goshen
College
called the Goshen City Police after I stood my grounds and would not leave the
City bike path that dissects the Goshen College Campus.
Captain Sandra Snyder of the Goshen City Police Department responded and
threatened to arrest me if I would not leave the City bike path.
Attorney Nate Kellum fired some letters to the Goshen Police Department
and they responded by declaring that I was not on City property but on Campus
property. Thanks to fellow church
members, Skip and Karen Boyer, Dwayne Culbertson and Indiana licensed surveyor
Reggie Timberlake, I was able to gather the necessary legal documents to
overcome the Goshen City Police’s fraudulent defense.
The Boyer’s and I were shocked at the amount of resistance that we
received from the Elkhart County Recorder’s and Auditor’s offices.
The clerks were so hostile that I had to call Surveyor Reggie Timberlake,
while in those County offices, and repeat exactly what Reggie told me in order
to obtain the necessary documents.
On
October
4, 2003
,
Brother Kevin Lloyd accompanied me to the Law Offices of Jeff Shafer and David
Langdon in
Cincinnati
. Attorney
Nate Kellum referred me to them as they all do work for the Alliance Defense
Fund. Last year, the Roman Catholic
Xavier University Police Department threatened to arrest Dr. Rick Bradley and
myself if we would not leave the public sidewalk from which we were preaching
from. Believe it or not, Xavier
claimed and still claims that they own the public sidewalk.
That day I taught Dr. Bradley how to obtain surveying plates from the
Cincinnati City Engineers office. We
approached Xavier Police Chief Michael Couch with the plates and testimony from
the City Engineer that the public sidewalks had not been vacated by the City and
thus were not Xavier property. Chief
Couch became so indignant that I thought that he was going to arrest Dr. Bradley
and I right there in his office. Since
that day, I have obtained a letter form the Cincinnati City Solicitor’s
office, (which is
Cincinnati
’s
highest legal authority), stating that the questioned sidewalks are indeed
public. Of course and as always, I
have all of this on audio tape.
Pastor
Marshall Stork hosted a campus/street preacher’s conference at his church in
Conway
,
Arkansas
.
John Duncan, Donnie and Candra Morris, Matt and Sondra Bourgault, Gary
and Laura Bowman, Cameron Hudson, John Latta and most if not all of Brother
Marshall Stork’s church members and I invaded the campus of the University of
Central Arkansas for four days straight. Even
though it rained for part of two of the four days we still had large crowds
ranging to 300 plus. The Lord
granted us a week of encouragement and reloading in our continual battle in
America
’s
culture war.
Sister
Bonnie and I drove Sister Pat Noordewier to
Pittsburgh
,
Pa.
where we met Brother Tim Petit and our attorney Michael Considine in the Pa.
State Attorney General’s office in order to conduct a deposition hearing with
Sherlock and two other officials from Indiana University of Pa.
Tim Petit arrived about one half hour early and told me that he overheard
the Assistant Attorney General, (Sherlock’s attorney), chide ole Sherlock
before the deposition even began. Our
attorney pounded Sherlock for four straight hours.
At one point, Sherlock almost came out of his chair requiring the
Assistant Attorney General to restrain him with his left hand while saying to
him, “Control yourself.” Sherlock
should take some lessons from Bill Clinton on how to be a good liar.
At one point, our Attorney tied Sherlock in such a knot that our Attorney
cracked up, causing the rest of us to crack up.
Sherlock still maintained that I had caused a 1000 man riot in spite of
the fact that we played the video tape over and over.
Afterwards, our Attorney told us that it was one of the best deposition
days that he has ever had in his career. Just
remember, we Christians have more fun on accident than sinners do on purpose!!!
We
thank you for your love and prayers,
Brother
Jim, Sister Bonnie, Aaron, Gabrielle, and Arielle
