March 2000

Dear Saints,

This winter, the Lord allowed us to open up 6 new Campuses and 18 new Churches in Georgia.  The weather in Georgia for January and February was very warm and dry, perfect for a snowbird, campus preacher from Indiana.

Pastor Mike and Sister Debbie Flowers, from Soperton, Ga. have offered their time to "put out" our newsletter.  All I do is type it and send it to them via e-mail.  What a blessing!

Last newsletter, I told you about my 28th arrest in Framingham, Mass., and how that the Lord, once again, opened the door for the A.C.L.U. to represent me for free.  I just called today, and the A.C.L.U. informed me, that, on Feb. 10th, the State of Mass., requested a Motion To Dismiss their charge of Disturbing The Peace.  It should all be finalized in April.  PRAISE THE LORD FOR ANOTHER VICTORY!  The A.C.L.U. lawyers along with the Mass. State Attorneys even listened to my campus preaching tapes, thus, allowing me to preach to them via audiotape.

The Lord has made a way for me to preach on South Africa's college campuses.  Remember last year, I told you about this crazy attorney friend of mine who likes to dress up in a Judges' robe and gavel and put campuses on trial for their crimes against God.  This man is heading to South Africa on the 23rd of this month, and he has magnanimously agreed to let me stay with him during his trip.  All I need to provide is airfare and food.  The college students speak English in South Africa.

At Valdosta State University, I left a Holy Ghost impact behind, preaching up to 6 hours a day.  One day I preached for 4 1/2 hours.  Throughout this day, a certain Christian student, named Harvey, verbally agreed with many of my statements.  He would tell the hostile crowd that I was making complete sense, and that my logic was flawless.  After preaching he offered to buy my dinner at the school cafeteria.  He also wanted me to meet his fiancée, who joined us as well.  During our dinner, several other professing Christians joined us.  Harvey was starving for holiness.  I walked him through Romans 6-7-8.  He understood the Bibles' doctrine of Holiness as fast as I have ever seen anyone grasp it.  He also understood Jude 21-22, Phil. 1:15-18, Mat. 7:1-5 and the use of the Law in evangelism.  Harvey had been gloriously saved and set free from all of his sins one year previously.  He confided in me, that, one month before my arrival, he had backslid and resumed his cigarette smoking due to lack of faith.  I expounded on 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 in light of his cigarette smoking.  A light bulb clicked in his heart, mind and spirit, as he understood the Word Of God.  He threw his cigarettes away and vowed to never smoke again.

As Harvey, his fiancée and I were walking out of the cafeteria; two "Campus Outreach" girls cornered us so that they could "share with us the plan of Salvation."  They admitted that they had not heard me preach, but they just "felt" that they needed to try to convert us?  This new convert to holiness, Harvey, lit into them with what I had just taught him, and would you believe, those nice, innocent, loving, "Campus Outreach" girls accused him of judging?  I left Harvey, the two "Campus Outreach" girls and a growing crowd of about 20 students in the Student Union at 6:50 p.m.

I left Harvey at 6:50 p.m. because, earlier in the day, I had offered to take four non-hostile sinners, two guys and two girls, to a Mexican Restaurant at 7:00 p.m.  I was glad when they showed up.  I drove the guys in my car while the girls followed us in their car.  While at the Mexican Restaurant, I politely and gracefully beat them with the Bible for two solid hours.  I arrived back home that night at 9:00 p.m.  Nine straight hours of ministry, it was great!

The next day, the two sinner guys told me, that, one of the sinner girls had gone home that night and cried all night long.  I had told the sinners how Harvey quit smoking.  When Harvey came out the next day, the first thing that the sinners asked him was, "Do you want a cigarette?"  He triumphantly refused.

We thank you for your love and prayers.
